This is a great resort! There are pods of cabanas along the walk to the resort pool and on the trail up to the restaurant/bar. Their pool was very warm and beautiful. They have a lovely stream coming down from the pool that is quite picturesque. We had two dinners and two breakfasts there and they were very good. The bar was very comfortable and our group had plenty of room to socialize and they were quite accommodating. The setting of this resort is great and offers plenty to see just strolling the property. There were quite a few varieties of birds while we were there. There is a quaint pond behind the restaurant that was a great spot to take photos complete with a waterfall and a cabin like structure.

Stayed here for one night and it was beautiful! The room we had was huge! Elegant hard wood floors, we took the van to the restaurant which had stunning ceilings and architecture. My partner had the surf and turf and I pasta, bother were outstanding! Breakfast was just as good with savory and sweet foods. Around the area were multiple walking trails and endless things to do. The hot spring was wonderful, and had a very clean bathroom/shower area next to it. Also went to the spa, great prices, great service and a beautiful/relaxing environment. The front desk girl was incredibly helpful with things to do at the hotel as well as the area. Would stay again, great for a romantic getaway!

Nice gem in the middle of the jungle! Relaxing, beautifully surrounded by birds and flowers. We loved it! Pura Vida! The food was good, service as well. We walked around a small trail with small waterfalls running down the hill. Bathed in the naturally heated pool and enjoyed the surrounding beauty. Just gotta have good legs to go around!

We found this place through a recommendation and happenstance. OMG!!! It was absolutely spectacular. The surroundings were not only beautiful but so peaceful and quiet. The sounds of the waterfalls, birds, monkeys, and just life blew me away. Two pools, one thermal and one cold. Small 'tubs' of thermal water all over the place. I'm a birder and I couldn't look fast enough to all the birds in the area. The service was perfect. The room was beautiful. The architecture was simply incredible. If you want a romantic get-away this is for you. The room was so well priced we even thought about postponing our flight out the next day. I can't say enough about this little gem. We would definitely go back again and again.

A+ Rio Perlas was a dreamy escape from the touristic Costa Rica. A genuine down to earth charm that is truly unique. The mission architecture mixed with Tico folk lore captures something special and the hot springs fed swimming pool offers a cure for whatever ails you. You can't help but feel the vibrant life of the nature that surrounds while enjoying the luxurious service and delicious food offered by the resort. Check it out, you won't be disappointed!
